The Gaze Burvill team are thrilled to be taking part in the Virtual 2021 Vitality London 10,000, here at Lodge Farm on Friday 4 June. Lodge Farm is Gaze Burvill’s Hampshire HQ and is nestled in the charming South Downs countryside. A route has been devised for team members to either run or walk, starting on the old railway line and circling the around the beautiful local area, finishing 10 kilometres later at Lodge Farm.
We will be raising money for Woodland Heritage and have set a goal of £2,000 so let’s see if we can smash it! Follow the link below to donate.
All donations will help Woodland Heritage to work towards its vision of ‘A UK more self-sufficient in timber grown in healthy, well-managed woodlands that benefit people and wildlife.’ From helping to advance new approaches to forestry or raising awareness of the best techniques in use today, through to ways of increasing volumes of processed timber, Woodland Heritage’s projects over the years have been many and varied. A fantastic organisation that we are delighted to support and contribute to the proper management of British trees.
Please watch the video below, where Simon Burvill talks more about the challenge and Woodland Heritage.
AN UPDATE…WE DID IT!
We are absolutely delighted that our first Lodge Farm 10k was a huge success. We have so far raised a brilliant £2,480 for Woodland Heritage and we even managed to dodge some pretty bad weather!
The participants, from both the Gaze Burvill team and local residents who also joined in, did fantastically well, many with remarkably little training. The fastest time recorded was Emma from the Sales Team who managed the course in an impressive 52 mins 16 secs, although one of our neighbours was hot on her heels!
Then it was back to the Lodge Farm Courtyard for some much needed refreshments and homemade flapjack. A really wonderful afternoon of fresh air, countryside and community, we can’t wait to do it all again next year.
