Friday 19 April 2024

Panel Discussion hosted by Tony Kirkham MBE VMH, former Head of Arboretum, Gardens & Horticulture Services at Royal Botanic Gardens Kew and with panellists Ann-Marie Powell and Will Dutch & Tin Tin Azure-Marxen of Dutch Landscape Architects.

Ann-Marie Powell will be celebrating the legacy of pioneering social reformer Octavia Hill, a founder of the National Trust, who believed in the power of green spaces to restore physical and mental health, and believed beautiful green spaces should be accessible to all. A passionate promoter of biodiversity, Ann-Marie will inspire an innovative approach to connect people with the beauty and complexity of the natural world. The garden is sponsored by Blue Diamond Garden Centres and the National Trust.

Will Dutch and Tin Tin Azure-Marxen will be telling us about their vision of supporting people with learning disabilities and autism – developing their skills, building, planting gardens, growing edible plants, and connecting with their community.
Their ‘All About Plants’ Garden for RHS Chelsea Flower Show 2024 with Pulp Friction CIC, will be sponsored by Project Giving Back. They say:
“The Growing Skills Garden is a representation of our good cause ‘Pulp Friction CIC’ and its members. The garden tells the story of their origin, their collaborations, their dynamism and their future.”

All ticket sales from this day will go to Woodland Heritage, a charity dedicated to creating a UK more self-sufficient in timber grown in healthy, well-managed woodlands that benefit people and wildlife.

Saturday 20 April 2024

Panel Discussion hosted by Matthew Pottage, Curator of RHS Garden Wisley and with panellists Harry Holding, Sophie Parmenter and Dido Milne from CSK Architects.

Harry Holding’s garden at RHS Chelsea Flower Show is sponsored by the RHS itself – designed by children for children, it is called ’No Adults Allowed’ and promises to be a joyful journey through a fantastical landscape! Harry and the RHS share a mission to get children engaged in playful learning, growing things they can eat and learning about the wonderful wild life of the garden.

Sophie Parmenter and Dido Milne will work together to create The National Autistic Society Garden for RHS Chelsea Flower Show. Generously sponsored by Project Giving Back, it seeks to capture an autistic person’s everyday experience of the world, especially ‘masking’, the difficult disguising of autistic characteristics to ‘fit in’.
There is innovative use of natural material cork, and a strong ecological ethos runs through the garden, showcasing the circularity of regenerative systems and the interdependent relationship between natural ecosystems and man-made materials.

All ticket sales from this day will go to Horatio’s Garden. A charity that creates and lovingly cares for beautiful accessible gardens in NHS spinal injury centres across the UK.

Tickets are limited so please buy your ticket early to avoid disappointment. To secure yours, click the button below.
