Gaze Burvill are proud to be a supplier of Tuuci parasols, the world’s leading manufacturer of luxury parasols. Each parasol is carefully constructed by hand and precisely engineered to ensure the highest quality finish and longer lasting comfort in the shade.
To help you choose the right parasol for your outdoor space, we have put together a short guide below.
Choosing your parasol style
Our Tuuci parasols are available in two types, centre post and cantilever. Picking the right luxury garden parasol for your outdoor space is an important step, so it’s crucial to understand the differences between a centre post and cantilever parasol.
Center Post Parasol
Centre post parasols are a classic option and have long been popular in outdoor spaces across the country. Known for being sturdy and strong, it features a straight mast made from anodised aluminium. They are perfect for creating a focal point in your outdoor living space, matched either with a table with a centre hole or where there is a divided seating arrangement.
Centre Post Parasol
Cantilever parasols are a modern and innovative design, offering greater flexibility and new possibilities for your outdoor space. With these parasols the base and mast stand away from the seated area while the parasol itself is angled forward to provide cover. It’s sleek design offers an unobtrusive and uninterrupted view and gives you greater control over shelter positioning with 360 degree rotation.
Parasol Canopy Shapes and Sizes
Once you have picked your parasol style, it’s time to think about your preferred canopy shape. We offer a range of shapes to choose from including square, rectangular, hexagonal and octagonal. There is no right or wrong when it comes to choosing your parasol shape, however, it’s important to consider the type of shade each of these shapes will provide as they will all slightly differ. For example: a round outdoor dining table will be better suited to ’rounder’ parasol shapes such as hexagon or octagon whereas a square outdoor dining table will be better suited to a square or rectangle parasol.
Parasol Canopy Fabric
All our parasols use Sunbrella Marine grade C fabric as standard, these don’t just look great, but they are also durable, fade resistant and water resistant thanks to the solution dyed acrylic fabric. Should you wish to add your own personal touch there is a wide range of additional colours you can choose from.
Choosing your mast finish is an important step in defining the overall aesthetic of your parasol. Our luxury parasols come with a Polished Titanium finish as standard, for something a little more bespoke we offer a variety of additional finishes including Plantation Aluma-Teak, a wood effect mast available in a number of wood types and a Powder Coat Finish, a metal finish with several options to choose from.
Please note that choosing a non-standard finish can increase the lead time and comes at additional cost, please enquire with our sales team to learn more.
The most important thing to consider when choosing a base is whether you want the base to sit on the surface or if you wish to have the parasol set into concrete, either existing or new. Choosing the right base will also be influenced by the weight and size of your parasol. We recommend that you think about this as early as possible when deciding your parasol style.
To learn more please get in touch with our sales team who will be happy to discuss your requirements.
If you wish to customise the look of your parasol, there are a range of enhancement options available (depending on which parasol type you choose). Enhancements include alternative canopy profiles, border colours, valances, fringes and lift upgrades.
Additional accessories are also available for your parasol, these include cover bags to keep your parasol clean and safe when not in use. To ensure that your outdoor space can be used all year round and at any time of the day, we also offer additional heating and lighting options.
Parasol Storage & Maintenance
Tuuci luxury parasols come with a 15 year warranty as standard, this covers the frame structure, mast, ribs, struts, brackets and hardware. Frame finishes, including powder coat and Aluma Teak Plantation are covered by a 5 year warranty. We strongly recommend purchasing a cover bag to help maintain the condition fo your parasol when not in use.
Shade and Marine fabrics come with a 10 year warranty as standard. Fabrics can be cleaned with bleached to remove touch stains, fabrics will not lose their colour because the colour dye goes to the core of the fabric.
Upon delivery we will provide you with a care guide, with instructions on how to maintain your parasol, it is important to read these before use.
