The Court Seat was designed in 1992, and perfectly embodies our ethos. It is designed to be sat "in" rather than "on", and works as a solo piece or in conjunction with our dining and occasional tables.
The Border Seat, the result of a commission by the RHS Gardens at Wisley, has a flowing, elegant design and was recognised in 2010, when it was short listed for the Wood Awards.
The Watts Seat was originally commissioned for the gardens of the Watts Gallery in Surrey. It draws its lines from a terracotta seat designed by Mary Seaton Watts, and was shortlisted for the RHS product of the year in 2011.
The Broadwalk Straight Seats provide a comfortable, substantial yet refined solution for linear spaces, and are available with or without armrests.
Readback Seats have complex curved elements which reference reeds swaying in the breeze.
Broadwalk Seats are extremely versatile and may form the focal point of a garden, With the option to either 'Curve In' or 'Curve Out' they can wrap closely, or loosely, around a tree or reflect circular demensions of a firepit or wall.
Inspired by the twisting Sweet Chestnuts in the woodland at Wisley’s Battleston Hill, the Wisley Woodland Seat is made from Sweet Chestnut and has taken the spiralling characteristic of the the trunk of the tree to inform the design itself. With no hint of a folksy or rustic association, this unique seat is an undeniably contemporary take on the natural forms of the woodland. It embodies also the powerful blend of modern design technology and traditional craftsmanship in which Gaze Burvill has embraced
The Moat Bench is an attractive and practical bench with a distinctive and comfortable contoured seat. Moat Benches are also available with a flat top to allow them to double as a table.
Broadwalk Benches come as both straight and curved. the Straight Benches are adaptbale and backless, whose carefully contoured seat makes it wonderfully comfortable. The Curved Benches can be made to different degrees of curvature, and can be joined together to fashion an intriguing variety of shapes.
Tree Seats, Spirals & Benches
Broadwalk Tree Seats go beautifully around a tree, sculpture, planter or other garden feature. The backrest curves backwards to provide greater comfort.
The Reedback Tree Seat back is a series of gentle arcs, which catch the light, reminiscent of reeds dancing in the breeze. With three dimensional twisted elements and steam bent curves, this seat is confident, substantial piece with a lightness of touch which adds to its charm.
Our circular Tree Benches are a lovely way to add a focal point to an attractive tree or sculpture and can be constructed in a variety of sizes. Custom sizes are available on request.
