Outdoor Kitchen FAQ

When should I contact Gaze Burvill about my outdoor kitchen?

It’s never too early to contact us when thinking about installing an outdoor kitchen. Our outdoor kitchens have many options and styles to choose from, so it’s important to take your time to carefully consider what it is that you want for your space.

It’s better to design a space to fit a kitchen – less custom pieces, easier build, cheaper, more client choice.

WHAT GROUNDWORKS ARE REQUIRED FOR AN OUTDOOR KITCHEN?

In order to install an outdoor kitchen we need a flat surface (e.g. paved), however our outdoor kitchens have adjustable feet meaning we can level the kitchen if the surface is not completely level or set to a slight gradient.

It is common for many newly built terraces to have a slight gradient to allow for water to fall off, in cases like these it’s important for our design team to know as early in the planning as possible. Should they be required, electric and gas/plumbing points will need to be installed prior to kitchen installation.

WHERE CAN I SEE YOUR OUTDOOR KITCHEN?

Our outdoor kitchens can be seen at our headquarters in East Tisted or at the Sub Zero Wolf showroom in Knightsbridge. We also showcase our kitchens on our RHS Chelsea Flower Show stand each year.

Can I take my outdoor kitchen with me when I move to a new house?

Yes, our Standard Modular kitchens are easier to move. Gaze Burvill can help with moving, please contact us for more information about this. If the kitchen is sold to a new owner, the Guarantee stays with the initial purchaser.

How long will it take from ordering to delivery?

Once the design has been completed and signed off, production usually takes between 8-10 weeks, subject to current lead times which will be specified in the Sales Order document. Custom and Bespoke kitchens may require longer.

Do I need to cover the outdoor kitchen when not in use?

The stainless-steel appliances come with covers which should be used when not in use. The outdoor kitchen units do not need to be covered. Dekton is a weather resistant material, chosen by us for its suitability for the outdoor environment. Additionally, our oak is ideally suited for outdoor use and requires only basic cleaning and maintenance.

Does the outdoor kitchen need to be moved inside over winter?

No. If the outdoor kitchen is not going to be used for a period of time, remove all products in the cabinets, and clean and dry using an anti-bacterial spray on all surfaces. Ensure that any gas or electric is disconnected. Make sure to use a cover over the grill.

Full care and winterisation information will be provided at delivery.
