Gaze Burvill awarded best tradestand at the RHS Chelsea Flower Show 2018

Simon Burvill and Butter Wakefield receive the Best Tradestand award from RHS President Sir Nicholas Bacon Bt, OBE, DL at the RHS Chelsea Flower Show 2018

GAZE BURVILL SCOOP BEST TRADESTAND AT RHS CHELSEA FLOWER SHOW

Simon Burvill and Butter Wakefield accepted the Best Tradestand award from RHS President Sir Nicholas Bacon Bt, OBE, DL at the RHS Chelsea Flower Show 2018 on behalf of luxury outdoor furniture designer and maker Gaze Burvill.

Gaze Burvill first exhibited at the RHS Chelsea Flower Show 25 years ago. In the first year of business there was one seat to display and granted a small space on the perimeter of the show. In 2018 Gaze Burvill are positioned centrally on Main Avenue which is the equivalent of Pall Mall or Mayfair on the Monopoly board! The collection of outdoor furniture has grown to an offering of outdoor seats & benches, outdoor lounging sets, outdoor dining tables and outdoor kitchens.

This year Gaze Burvill asked the garden designer Butter Wakefield to provide a setting which reflected on the company history whilst keeping the brand central in the conversations of today’s garden designs. Butter focused on creating an inviting and elegant space which allowed the oak outdoor furniture to take pride of place and positioned each of the iconic pieces in a series of outdoor rooms.

The result speaks for itself. The Gaze Burvill stand (#333) has a front border full of planting that doesn’t look out of place in the main show gardens. There are touches of magic lovingly placed all over the stand, from the Oak signage crafted from the same prime, Grade A sustainably sourced Oak used in the outdoor furniture and outdoor kitchens to the full bloom wildflower meadow on the roof of the staff area.

The focal point of the stand is a Broadwalk Round Outdoor Dining Table with a matching combination of outdoor seats and benches, combined with cushions in an elegant colour palette of greens and greys and dressed with Butter’s own selection of tableware.

Gaze Burvill are pleased to have outdoor furniture in many other gardens at this years show including on Gold Medal Winning Show Garden ‘Welcome to Yorkshire’ designed by Mark Gregory, on Gold Medal winning Show Garden ‘Seedlip garden’ designed by Catherine Macdonald, in Raymond Blanc’s private hospitality in Jardin Blanc and the tradestands of Horatio’s Garden, Wallgarden, Brian Alabaster and Chesneys.

There are over 350 trade stands at this years RHS Chelsea Flower Show displaying a vast array of products and services from outdoor furniture through garden tools to bespoke sculpture.
