In 1992 Christian Gaze and Simon Burvill founded Gaze Burvill with the aim of creating the finest outdoor furniture, which did not have a damaging impact on the environment.

Both trained with John Makepeace's Parnham Trust in Dorset, Christian at the School for Craftsmen in Wood, and Simon at Hooke Park College.

From the early days of Christian Gaze’s design for the Court Seat our Collections have developed largely through creating original design solutions to specific customer requests.

From modest beginnings with a workshop at Plain Farm Old Dairy, East Tisted, Hampshire, in 1998 we moved to much larger premises on the same farm estate.

Once again the business outgrew our workshop capacity and in 2014 we moved into Lodge Farm; realising a dream for the company to create a sustainable future in a setting and facilities truly fitting for the quality of our work.

This state of the art premises will enable us to develop in new ways, as we combine the latest materials and techniques employed in our new ‘A La Carte’ Outdoor Kitchen Collection with our tried and tested craftsmanship.
