The Hermitage Garden scoops the large residential award at the 2016 SGD Awards in London

Gaze Burvill were delighted to present Arabella Lennox-Boyd MSGD with the large residential award at the 2016 Society of Garden Designers Awards held at the Landmark hotel in London.

The level of competition in the 2016 SGD awards was incredibly high with comments from both the evening's host Joe Swift and noted garden designer Anne Marie Powell highlighting the quality of the nominees in both the student and established designer categories.

Nowhere was this more apparent than in the Large Residential Award, sponsored by Gaze Burvill, where Arabella Lennox-Boyd MSGD took home the honours with her spectacular design for The Hermitage.

“A garden that uses levels very successfully.  A playful design with excellent planting. Sophisticated interpretation of the classic style with good treatment with views.” Judges commented. “Responds beautifully to the landscape. A very competent design.”

Judges are formed of a panel of independent and respected experts, including designers, academics, journalists and horticultural professionals. They selected the shortlisted and winning designs.
