This morning Gaze Burvill were delighted to welcome esteemed Garden Designer, TV personality and now inaugural Gaze Burvill Christmas workstation decoration judge, Ann-Marie Powell.
With a combined total of over £200 pledged to a charity of the winner's choice, the competition heated up throughout the week, culminating in last minute entrants, an explosion of tinsel and flour. Reports of sabotage are unconfirmed at this point.
Running out to a quick lead in the competition, the design team has pulled out all the stops. Footprints up the stairs, handmade crafts and a classic Christmas screen saver looked the part. But eyebrows were raised at the young man seated on Santa's lap.
Other than an underwhelming stop at the desk of our founder ... "must try harder" ... the standard from the office team was high.
But the highlight was yet to come. As the judging team moved across to the workshop the quality of the decoration rose dramatically. Here the work of the master craftsman shone.
We gathered in the barn.
A chill ran through the crowd. Possibly from excitement, possibly because the heating was off and it was freezing.
Winner: Paul Wheatley. Much deserved with a rousing display of festive cheer.
His selected charity: Hannah's Holiday Home
Merry Christmas from all at Gaze Burvill
